Polymethylmethacrylate Preparation /Emulsion/ Paint Binder

A transition upon heating ( 70-75 deg.C) from milky white to almost translucent back to milky color as polymerization develops.
In formulating my 'acrylic-fresco' paint formulations , I want the correct viscosity of the polymer for my work- and consistency from batch-to-batch.

Sodium dodecyl sulfate is the surfactant used along with potassium persulfate initiator . 1-3 hrs of heating is being studied along with inclusion of selected cross-linking agents and inclusion of some other monomers (i.e. co-polymer formulations).
1.0 g SDs was used in 100 ml. water along with about 8 ml. of the methylmethacrylate. I am studying the effect of varying the amount. The 'critical mycelles concentration' is a critical variable.
Quaternary ammonium salts have not been used in many emulsions polymerizations and I want to examine this closely.
