"Milk Paint Formulation"

I use: milk powder, commercial watercolors, kaolin clay group and dispersant along with some buffer ( PH=10).  A trace of celite (diatomaceous earth) is added which minimizes bubbling. A smooth delivery from the brush and fast-drying. The only synthetic used is a few drops of a water-soluble modified polyacrylic which effectively disperses the pigment particles.
