I release into the public domain the milk paint formulation that I have developed. Hopefully, artists will experiment with the paint formulation:
Whole milk powder is stirred with distilled water and 1-3% ( by mass) of guar gum is added and stirred to a creamy consistency. A few drops of a dispersant is added along with commercial watercolor pigment.
First dissolve the guar gum in distilled water and stir 3-5 minutes at ambient temperature. Then proceed to add the pigment, disopersing agent and whole milk powder.
The fast-drying medium becomes impervious to water contact.
