Opal Dust is a clear gel infused with tiny light-reflecting, holographic particles that mimic the interplay of colours found in rare gems. This versatile medium can be used alone or mixed with Jo Sonja Matte Flow Acrylic to create stunning glitter effects on a wide range of surfaces, without causing yellowing.
 
Directions:
Preparation: Shake the bottle well before use.
Application: Opal Dust can be used directly on a dry, pre-primed surface. It's suitable for various surfaces including paper, card, glass, transparency film, plastic, canvas, wood, terracotta, tin, fabric, silk, or dried flowers.
Colour Enhancement: For more dramatic effects, apply over darker colours. For a subtler effect, mix with paint before application.
Special Effects: Apply over Jo Sonja Texture Paste to simulate the appearance of snow.
Drying Time: Varies with the thickness of the application. While brushstrokes are visible when wet, they will disappear once fully dry.
 
Additional Usage Tips:
Not Suitable For: Fabric surfaces that will be washed.
Finishing: To protect the finish on decorative items, a coat of Jo Sonja Polyurethane Water Based Varnish is recommended.
 
Safety and Cleanup:
Cleanup: Water-based and can be cleaned up with mild soap and cool water.
