"Yellow Anil Dye"
We are developing relatively stable anils ( imino linkages a.k.a. schiff bases) as potential dyes for use in gouache paint formulations. We anticipate color changes as a function of PH.
Below is an intense yellow dye derived from vanillin and p-amino phenol.
We generate no waste in our synthetic approach to these potential dyes and possibly metal ion coordination may also induce color changes.
