Turtle Wax/ Emulsified Wax & Acrylic Paints
I am currently developing tri-emulsions of wax, water and acrylics as topcoat over an undercoat of developmental oil pastels.. The tri-emulsion blends nicely and flow off the brush is excellent over the oil pastels. Once the water evaporates, the topcoat can be worked with fingers or bristle brush without disturbing the undercoat. i work on bristol paper.
The 'Turtle Wax" formula is green, but emulsified wax is rather inexpensive and white.
Use 5-10% (m/v) of the emulsified wax in acrylic paints you choose.

Vesuvius Explodes. Graphic Art. David (S.) Soriano
Intermittent explosive
disorder (IED) is an impulse-control disorder characterized by sudden
episodes of unwarranted anger. The disorder is typified by hostility,
impulsivity, and recurrent aggressive outbursts. Mountains with IED
essentially “explode” into a rage despite a lack of apparent provocation
or reason. :)

Impasto Acrtlic paint Formulation
Impasto acrylic containing acrylic paint, Gold Bond powder, Liquitex (drops) varnish, milk powder and an acrylic dispersant. Some swatches have an oil pastel undercoat; bristol foundation.
Developmental Oil Pastels
Oil pastels with castor wax/ castor oil and oil-based pigment. The linseed oil is blotted out with paper before formulating the oil pastel. I am focusing on an oil pastel that flows like butter on bristol paper.
