Zinc/ Bromine Secondary Cell Protortype/ Grafoil-Activated Carbon 1.8V (Open)

 

                                                Typical Grafoil/Activated  Carbon Cathode. Steel contact stapled to the fragile grafoil.

                                                     Zinc sulfate/ sodium bromide aq. electrolyte in halloysite nanotubular clay. The clay interacts electrostatically with the molecualr bromine . The tunnels afford mobility.  I will start collecting data soon.  It runs a small 1.5V DC motor with goos power for minutes. Rapid re-charge. Promising cell.
